The Nye Beach Merchants Association presents its 10th Annual Clambake and Seafood BBQ, Saturday, July 7, 2012.
Held the first Saturday of each July, steps from the beach, at the Nye Beach turnaround, this event benefits local artists, service, and non-profit organizations.
The festival begins with a Pet Parade starting a 9:45am at the Newport Performing Arts Center, making its way to the turnaround to be greeted by live music, seafood and non-seafood delights, desserts and delectables to eat, local art vendors, a beer garden, horse-drawn carriage rides for $2 a ride, and a free art activity offered at the Newport Visual Arts Center.
Lincoln County Transit providesfree shuttle service from the Performing Arts Center and the Lincoln County Courthouse.Event hours are 10am until 5pm.There is no admission charge.For information, call 541-270-2234.
