The Real Estate Broker is an important position in any Real Estate brokerage. By attracting, interacting with, and networking with both buyers and sellers, Real Estate Brokers facilitate smooth and pleasant housing transactions. A Real Estate Broker needs to be customer service oriented, have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be proactive, be independent thinking, be trustworthy, and have the ability to work under pressure. Experience with sales, customer service, networking and marketing are preferred. Candidates must have an Oregon Real Estate Broker's or Principal Broker's license that is active and in good standing.
As a Broker, you will…
*Meet with clients to discuss their home purchase and sale needs.
*Take clients to home showings.
*Act as an intermediary in negotiations throughout the process between the buyers and sellers.
*Cooperate with appraisers, escrow companies, lenders and home inspectors.
*Network with customers via phone, email, in-person and through social media.
*Educate clients on the state of the real estate market by staying informed through local realtor associations and/or the national association of realtors.
*Distribute information concerning buying and selling real estate.
*Assist potential clients with financial decisions concerning real estate.
*Utilize computer technology to manage a database of customers and prospects to follow up and interact regularly.
*Prepare necessary legally required contracts and forms.
*Refer clients to qualified and competent professionals in the lending, inspection, staging, legal, and accounting fields.
*Enter, transcribe, record, store and maintain pertinent transaction related information in written or electronic form according to Oregon law.
*Resolve conflicts that arise during the purchase or sale of real estate property.
*Network with other Real Estate Brokers to create teamwork and positive
*Perform comparative market analysis to estimate properties' value.
*Coordinate property closings, overseeing signing of documents and transfer of keys.
*Understand and comply with government real estate sales regulations and disclosures.
*Pursue continuing real estate education and proficiency such as reading relevant literature, and attend conventions, sales meetings, etc.
*Creatively market yourself as a Real Estate Broker and come up with marketing strategies to market homes for sale.
* Establish objectives and strategies for business planning purposes and related actions to achieve them.
*Promote sales through advertisements, open houses and listing services.
*Present purchase offers to Sellers for consideration.
*Maintain and update listings of available properties.
